Other CMI Education and Outreach

The CMI education and outreach staff at Colorado School of Mines created museum exhibit on critical materials and rare earths.  To help other people who work with museums, exhibits and outreach, they documented the process and created several reports, which are available online.

The CMI education and outreach staff at Mines reviewed the courses offered by CMI Team Member colleges and universities, and created a course inventory organized by institution and industry segment. This reflects many possible majors for students.

Several CMI partners sponsor regional contests for the U.S. Department of Energy's National Science Bowl, including The Ames Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

CMI researchers share their expertise with a variety of students, academic experts and industry.  A list of recent education and outreach events is available online.

Also, CMI education and outreach recommendations for a variety of activities for elementary, middle school and high school students are available online.
